See below our answer for (1) individuals as well as (2) corporate customers:
(1) For individuals:
It is not possible to purchase a Climeworks collector and place it on a private area.
Carbon dioxide disperses quickly and evenly across the world, which means the CO2 concentration is roughly the same everywhere in the world. Thus, it does not matter where the CO2 is captured. However, a renewable energy source as well as a destination for the CO2 is required (e.g., a storage site).
Climeworks currently removes carbon dioxide via direct air capture and storage in Iceland, due to the country’s ideal conditions: it provides a safe and permanent storage location (underground mineralization of CO2) and a renewable energy source (geothermal energy). Climeworks therefore provides the service of permanent carbon dioxide removal to you as a holistic solution, see here: https://www.climeworks.com/subscriptions
(2) For corporate customers:
We are selling DAC-1 plants to corporate customers, i.e. smaller-scale direct air capture facilities that consist of one CO2 collector (like our plant Arctic Fox).
We do not, however, sell larger-scale direct air capture plants, such as the one we built in Iceland (Orca).

For the purpose of producing renewable synthetic fuels from air-captured CO2 in a circular fashion, we have built larger-scale direct air capture plants as part of larger consortia, which are typically operated by the members of the consortia (e.g. Norsk e-fuel, Kopernikus or Zenid).
